Product overview

Limited-volume fermented lots from Papua highland collection networks. Box-fermented and sun-dried to export standards, graded to house Grade A specifications, and packed for buyers seeking a distinctive Indonesian origin beyond Sulawesi and Sumatra.

Quality and processing

Highland beans are box-fermented for five to six days and sun-dried on raised beds to 7.5% moisture or below. Every lot is cut-tested in Makassar to house Grade A / SNI size class A standards before export approval.

Applications and buyers

Papua suits bean-to-bar makers and couverture producers who want a more expressive Indonesian single origin. Trial samples are recommended before container commitment because volumes are seasonal and profiles can vary by harvest.

Packing, MOQ and shipping

Packed in new 60 kg jute bags, 13 MT per 20 ft container. Minimum order is one FCL, shipped FOB, CFR, or CIF from Makassar within 3–4 weeks of confirmation, with complete export documentation and optional SGS pre-shipment inspection on request.

Frequently asked questions

Ordering, samples, shipping, and payment, answered by our export desk.

What volume minimum applies to Papua fermented Grade A beans?

One 20 ft FCL, about 13 MT, in new 60 kg jute bags. Papua volumes are seasonal and smaller than Sulawesi, so lead time runs three to four weeks and allocation is on confirmed orders. Pre-shipment samples are recommended before first container commitment.

How would you describe the Papua fermented flavour profile?

Bold, tropical character with intense cocoa impact and a distinctive fruit edge compared with Sulawesi or Sumatra. Highland collection networks produce expressive single-origin lots; profiles can vary by harvest, which is why we encourage cupping samples first.

Which buyers choose Papua over Sulawesi or Sumatra fermented lots?

Bean-to-bar makers and couverture producers seeking a more expressive Indonesian single origin beyond the established belt origins. Papua works when you want limited-season character on the wrapper and can plan around smaller, seasonal allotments.

What Grade A specifications are cut-tested in Makassar for Papua?

Bean count at or below 100 per 100 g (SNI size class A), moisture at or below 7.5%, fermentation at or above 85%, fat at or above 52%, with published mouldy, slaty, and insect-damaged limits. Every lot is traceable to the named highland collection network.
