Indonesia Cacao

Our products

Export-ready Indonesian cocoa, graded and fully documented. Browse by product type, origin, processing, and grade.

We supply whole fermented and unfermented cocoa beans from Sulawesi, Sumatra, Java, and Papua, plus the processed range those beans feed: nibs, liquor, cake, butter, and natural or alkalized powder. Headquartered in Jakarta, we source through long-term partner cooperatives and cut-test every bean lot in our own Makassar grading room; ingredients are processed at an ISO 22000 and HACCP certified partner facility. Every lot below lists its specifications, certifications, and incoterms up front, so you can shortlist what fits your plant and request pricing in minutes.

Buyer's guide

Everything you need to source with confidence

How ordering works, how we grade, and what ships with every container.

How ordering works

Shortlist a lot, then send us your destination port and target volume. We reply with an indicative quote, current availability, and a 500 g–2 kg sample with cut-test photos. Sample costs are credited against your first order. For first-time buyers we can arrange LCL trial lots or partial-container loads from 5 MT on unfermented grades, subject to consolidation schedules.

How we grade

Every lot is cut-tested in our Makassar grading room for fermentation level, screened for bean count, and cupped for smoke taint and off-flavours before it clears for export. Retained reference samples and grading records travel with each shipment, so your incoming QC matches what you approved. Third-party pre-shipment inspection (SGS or equivalent) and ISO/IEC 17025 laboratory COAs are available on request.

Shipping & documentation

We ship FOB, CFR, or CIF from Makassar and Surabaya to most major ports. Each container leaves with a phytosanitary certificate, fumigation certificate, certificate of origin, commercial invoice, packing list, and loading photos, so customs clearance holds no surprises.

OEM and private-label packing

Private-label and OEM packing is a standing wholesale programme, not a one-off favour. On recurring contracts we can stencil buyer marks on jute or kraft bags, print custom lot codes, and issue packing lists under your brand name while the commercial invoice remains with our legal entity unless you arrange otherwise. Minimums stay at our wholesale floors (13 MT for fermented beans, 5 MT for unfermented beans and cake, 1 to 5 MT for processed ingredients). Tell us bag-mark artwork, language, and barcode requirements at quote stage; we confirm feasibility against the lot and the vessel cut-off. Full programme details sit on our services page.

Custom fermentation programmes

For wholesale buyers who need a fermentation profile their standard catalogue grades do not match, we run custom box-fermentation programmes against a written protocol: day count, turning schedule, target cut-test percentage, and drying moisture. Programmes start at one 20 ft container (about 13 MT) and are booked against a named cooperative harvest window, not assembled from spot bags. Trial containers are available before a season contract. Send your target cut-test range and roast application and we will propose a protocol with lead time and pricing.

Application-specific grades

We publish the same beans and ingredients under the application you buy them for: bean-to-bar and couverture fermented lots, pressing-grade unfermented beans, and bakery or confectionery powders and cake. Specs stay measurable (fermentation, fat, pH, fineness), but the landing pages and product names lead with the job the lot is meant to do, so your procurement file matches how your plant actually uses the cocoa.

Frequently asked questions

Ordering, samples, shipping, and payment, answered by our export desk.

How do I compare Indonesian cocoa by origin and grade on this page?

Use the Browse by bar to open origin, process, grade, or product-type landing pages, or open individual product pages for full specifications. Every bean lot lists bean count, moisture, fermentation, fat, and defect limits. Processed ingredients list fat, pH, fineness, or shell content as relevant. Shortlist against your intake spec, then request pricing for the lots that fit.

What are minimum orders for beans versus processed ingredients?

Fermented bean grades start at one 20 ft container (about 13 MT). Unfermented Sulawesi and Java beans and cocoa cake accept partial loads from 5 MT. Nibs start at 1 MT; liquor and butter at 5 MT; natural and alkalized powder at 3 MT. LCL trial lots on beans are available for qualified first-time buyers, subject to consolidation schedules.

How do I request graded cocoa samples from the product catalogue?

Contact us with the product slug, destination, and whether you need cut-test data or a full certificate of analysis. We ship 500 g to 2 kg of the current lot with documentation; sample costs credit against your first order. For beans, include whether you are comparing origins or fermentation levels so we send the right lots.

Which export documents are included with every shipment?

Every container leaves with phytosanitary certificate, fumigation certificate, certificate of origin, commercial invoice, packing list, and loading photos. Product-specific certificates (Rainforest Alliance, Organic, Fairtrade, Halal, ISO 22000 scope) match the lot ordered. Third-party SGS inspection and ISO/IEC 17025 laboratory COAs are available on request.
